Walk into any kids' clothing store right now, you'll see the split right away.
On one side, pieces that speak to parents. Everything's organic, sustainable, classic…boring. Clothes that check every box for you and none with the child who has to wear them.
On the other side, clothes that appeal to kids. Bright colors, fun characters, playful designs, trendy everything. But made with questionable practices and synthetic fabrics that pill after four washes.
But why should it have to be one or the other?
We're parents ourselves. And we're pretty obsessive about what touches our kids' skin. We read every label and actually know what each certification means. We want GOTS-certified organic cotton, we're not fooled by marketing buzzwords anyone can slap on there. We want Made in USA, where we can pull up to the factory and shake hands with the people sewing the clothes.
But we also remember what it's like to be thirteen. Vividly! The joy of choosing clothes, the pride of wearing something that felt like "me." How important it felt to match our look to our mood.
